GBCA Submission to Federal Government's Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme Green Paper

The Green Building Council of Australia has lodged two documents with the Federal Government. They collectively represent the GBCA's submission to the Federal Government's Carbon Pollution Reduction Scheme (CPRS) Green Paper. Our submission reinforces the view that the built environment represents the single largest source of cost-effective greenhouse gas abatement both here in Australia and globally. While buildings have not been incorporated into the design of the CPRS, there are range of policy measures that the government should pursue that would be complementary to the operation of the CPRS and unlock the abatement potential within the built environment. This is what our submission conveys.
