Green Star FAQs
Do amenity rooms need to comply with the specified credits if they are not regularly occupied?
Yes, for the purposes of the Amenity and Comfort credit, all amenity rooms must comply with Minimum Expectation and Credit Achievement in the Light Quality and Acoustic Comfort credits and the 'Equal access to the building' criterion under the Inclusive Design criteria in Credit Achievement regardless of whether they are considered regularly occupied areas in the project.
The above credits do not need to be targeted across the whole project to be eligible to target the Amenity and Comfort credit.
Similarly, achievement of the above credits does not imply compliance for the purpose of the Amenity and Comfort credit; It must be demonstrated in the submission that amenity rooms referenced in the submission comply with the above criteria regardless of whether they are regularly or non-regularly occupied.
