Can projects use the Performance Pathway to size the rainwater tank for the Potable Water Prescriptive Pathway?
Yes, project teams may use the Performance Pathway to size the rainwater tank for 18B.2 Potable Water Prescriptive Pathway - Rainwater Reuse from Green Star - Design & As Built.
The project team must demonstrate that the rainwater tank is appropriately sized to the building. At a minimum, the project team should include and justify the following parameters in the Potable Water calculator:
- expected water demand/consumption for rainwater
- peak building occupancy
- building GFA
- catchment area size
- rainfall data
Documentation Requirements:
Please provide the following in your submission:
- Documentation as per the Submission Guidelines
- Calculation inputs, methodology, and results in determining the project's rainwater tank size
- A copy of this FAQ
