FAQ F-00131
Can projects targeting the NatHERS pathway claim points for Peak Electricity Demand Reduction?
Can projects targeting the NatHERS pathway claim points for Peak Electricity Demand Reduction?
Yes. Projects targeting the NatHERS pathway may target one (1) point under credit 16B 'Modelled Performance Pathway: Reference Building' by demonstrating that the building has an average NatHERS rating of 7.5 stars, and no individual dwelling has a rating of less than 7 stars.
An average NatHERS rating of 7.5 stars represents a significant reduction in heating and cooling loads when compared to standard practice, which is likely to result in an aggregate reduction in electricity demand during peak times.
Documentation Requirements:
- NatHERS report issued to the Building Certifier at time of Building Approval
- Evidence demonstrating the NatHERS star rating of the lowest-rated dwelling that has been modelled
- A copy of this FAQ
